Google Blog Search
Yes my friends, you are seeing correctly. Google has launched a blog search. Now I don’t want to rain on Technorati and co.’s parade, but didn’t they see this coming? What happens now? This thing allows you to organize results by relevance or date (a choice I believe Technorati removed some time ago that I found quite useful) and it even includes feeds . . . ooh and ahh (not only that, but you get a choice between Atom and RSS). With that said, here’s the feed for a search on “Google blog search” so go ahead and follow all the fun.

Thanks a lot, Noah! Now I have a whole new level of distraction — and I’m on a really tight deadline!!!! Oh my, it reminded me of my efforts when you were in middle school and of how much better off we’d be in education IF WE’D JUST LISTEN TO THE KIDS!!!!!
I know the name Anne Davis is not uncommon, but back then (mid-90′s), when I was working on the self-assessment project at Ponus, I went to a workshop by someone named Anne Davis, who was doing some pretty amazing things with elementary school children and performance assessment. I think she was Canadian … wouldn’t it be amazing if it was the same person! She now seems to be devoted to bringing blogs into schools. Either way, she deserves kudos for her efforts and her blog.
So, to get back to YOUR post. I guess this is it. Blogs hit the big time. If they can be searched on Google, it’s just a matter of time ’til they’re mainstream.
It all goes so fast … and here I am working on Principal Leadership training and mentoring … and we can’t get most of them to go online. No wonder education is 100 years behind the times!
Oh well, back to work — just wanted to let you know you distracted and inspired me — again.
